About the AACE Bruce County Local Section

Our Section

The Bruce County Local section services the Bruce, Grey & Huron Counties (see image below) and is composed of Association members of all classifications in good standing. Bruce County is geographically located 3 hours northwest of the closest local AACEI Region 01 Section (Toronto)

The section strives to further the objectives of AACEI at the local level by providing a variety of services to local members with the intention of amplifying the value of AACEI membership and disseminating AACI TCM based technical content and const engineering information. This also includes the ability of our members to network with peers in the vicinity, engage in learning opportunities, take leadership positions, and advance technology.

How We Started

Bruce Power and the County of Bruce have recently teamed up to establish a Regional Economic Development and Innovation Initiative to leverage economic opportunities for communities in Bruce, Grey, and Huron counties, as a result of Bruce Power's multi-year, multi-billion investment program which will see a major influx of professionals in the area who are expected to understand and utilize AACEI recommended practices to comply with Bruce Power governance which defines and supports the Bruce Power project delivery, model.

AACEI members supporting these local business and industry suppliers within Bruce County, specifically Bruce Power and its established local vendors, showed interested in starting a new section such that cost engineering professionals within this stated geographical area may benefit from the technical information, career resources, networking and professional development opportunities afforded by the availability of a local section.
